The Denny's on Baltimore Pike stood tall
That any hour diner was there though the years for us all
It was there for us all

Grabbed a ride to the Denny's
Got kicked out of Jim's on a Friday

It was cozy and nostalgic
Never thought it would feel this way
But it's been years that I've come here
So i guess it was worth the wait

You saved this town
This diner was was a home

I grew up here
Did all my best thinking
Threw up here
After all my best drinking
I made some good friends
And lost some old ones
I met her here when we were both so young

Driving down past our diner
Weird to see it so dark and empty
Can't go back to how it used to be
